Good news everyone! Handsome Jack’s Showband will be playing at the fantastic all-night party Planet Angel on the 10th of February 2012.
Just the other day the band were singing about how much they’d like the gig and complaining that Jack would never get it for them.
However Jack came through for once! They will play the party, from about midnight in the Funky Lounge. See you there, it’s the biggest Handsome Jack’s Showband gig yet!
Happy christmas from Handsome Jack’s Showband. As a special christmas gift to you, we present Handsome Jack’s Xmas Game. Click here to see it:
Here’s the Finale from our set at Planet Angel’s Chilled In A Field. “Another Planet” originally by The Only Ones.
Featuring a space-hopper enabled Ben, bouncing to his favourite song ever.
Jack’s had us learning how to use the studio he made us have built in Paul’s basement. Here’s “Dead Man”, recorded September 2011.
We’ll be returning to play live at The Comedy Pub on Oxendon Street, SW1 on the 15th of October. We’re on stage at 9:30, or there abouts.
Do come early though, because also on the bill are: The Franciscos, Collision Cascade, The Hendersons, plus Lord Byron.
Here’s an official website. It’s only five pounds entry with this flyer, so print it out and come along!
Hope to see you there!
We’ll be playing alongside Tortilla Army at The Modou Tunkara Memorial Trust Benefit Gig on November the 11th 2011.
Entry is just four pounds!
It’s at Whitstable Labour Club out in Kent. Whitstable station is 90 minutes out of London on the train-line from Victoria or St Pancras.
Hope to see you there!
We were surprised when Jack told us we were to play “The Dancing Duck Song”, first made famous in a South Park episode. Yet it seems to work well, and so once again Jack’s vision has proven true despite all the odds.
Here’s us playing it at Chilled in a Field in July 2011.
We’re pleased to announce we’ll be playing at “Boing Live” at “Dirty Dicks” in Liverpool Street alongside our friends and fellow performers Frodo Freud and Indigo amongst others yet to be confirmed.
Doors open at 7pm, bar closes at 1am. Entry is just three pounds.
We’ll update this page with more details as we have them.
Paul, our lead guitarist, was sick at practice yesterday. Or sick not at practice I guess. Here’s how we coped playing Another Girl Another Planet without him.
